October 7-11

We have a busy week coming up before fall break! On Tuesday October 8 students will be attending Youthlink to compliment the Evidence and Investigation unit in science. Please ensure to return field trip forms ASAP!

Parent-Teacher-Student conferences are taking place on October 10 and 11. Please book your appointment online with PowerSchool. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

This week in Humanities we focused on Residential Schools, as this coming Monday is Orange Shirt Day.
We talked about what happened in these schools and how it has impacted our society, even today.
As a class we read I am not a Number each student took a turn reading a page of the book out loud to the class.

Don't forget to wear your Orange Shirt on Monday!

Welcome to grade six Humanities at Ernest Morrow! I am looking forward to a fun year. Please check the blog for regular updates.

Open House

Join us tomorrow night for our open house! There will be a band performance in the gym from 5-6pm. The rest of the school will open at 6pm until 8pm for families to see their child's learning.

Make sure to stop by room six to see the longhouses students have been hard at work on during our Iroquois Confederacy unit!

Telus Spark!

Field trip forms were sent home today for our field trip to Telus Spark! Please ensure forms are signed and returned to the school ASAP. The field trip is next Wednesday April 17, 2019.
